1. Information We Collect and How We Use It

A. Anonymous Draft Telemetry & Community Wisdom

When you complete a mock draft, the app may transmit non-personal, aggregated draft telemetry to our Cloudflare edge servers (telemetry.bettermockdraft.com). This data includes:

• A random pseudo-UUID generated on your device (@telemetry_install_id) that contains zero personal identity information.
• Draft metadata: format (e.g. Half-PPR, Superflex), number of teams, pick numbers, selected player IDs, and draft completion duration.
• Assigned bot strategy tags and post-draft Monte Carlo simulation outcome statistics (e.g., playoff probability ranges).

Purpose: This telemetry powers aggregate community draft trends (e.g. "At pick 2.05, 46% of drafters selected RB") and tunes bot AI strategies to mirror realistic drafter behaviors.

B. Diagnostic & Crash Reports

To investigate and resolve software bugs, the app collects anonymous crash information (handled locally and optionally dispatched to Sentry). This includes:

• Error message and stack trace.
• Operating system name and version (e.g. iOS 18.2, Android 15), app build version, and device model family.
• Non-personal diagnostic breadcrumbs of recent user interface actions prior to a crash.

C. Fantasy League Import Data

If you utilize the optional League Analyzer & Importer feature:

• You provide a public league identifier or paste publicly accessible draft recaps from Sleeper, ESPN, or Yahoo.
• We fetch and parse publicly available historical rosters, draft selections, and scoring rules to configure custom opponent bot archetypes.
• Zero Credentials: We never request, store, or transmit your fantasy platform account passwords or sensitive login tokens.

D. In-App Purchases (Pro Edition)

If you purchase the Better Mock Draft Pro seasonal unlock (better_mock_drafts_pro_2026), your transaction is processed entirely through Apple In-App Purchase (StoreKit) or Google Play Billing. Better Mock Draft does not receive, process, or store your credit card, bank account, or billing address details.

E. Advertising in Lite Edition

The free Lite edition displays third-party advertisements served by Google AdMob. Google may collect and process device identifiers, advertising IDs, and interaction data to serve ads in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy. We support the Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) to enable user consent controls in jurisdictions subject to GDPR (EEA/UK) and CPRA (California). Unlocking the Pro edition completely disables all advertisements and SDK ad requests.

In accordance with Apple App Store review guidelines, here is our transparent breakdown of App Privacy disclosures:

We do not request App Tracking Transparency (ATT) permissions for our own services because Better Mock Draft does not link user data with third-party data for targeted advertising.

3. Google Play Data Safety Disclosures

For users installing from Google Play:

• Data Encrypted in Transit: All data transmitted between the app and our edge telemetry endpoints utilizes industry-standard HTTPS/TLS encryption.
• Data Shared: No personal information is ever sold or shared. Non-personal crash reports may be processed by our crash analysis infrastructure (Sentry).
• Data Deletion: Because all draft configurations, saved templates, and keeper settings reside in local device storage (AsyncStorage), you can immediately delete all local data by clearing app storage in device settings or uninstalling the app.

4. Children's Privacy

Better Mock Draft is intended for general audiences and fantasy sports enthusiasts. We do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the European Union). If you believe a child has submitted personal information, please contact us immediately so we can promptly delete it.

5. Data Retention & Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (such as GDPR in Europe or CCPA/CPRA in California), you may have rights regarding access, deletion, and portability of personal data.

Since our app operates without accounts and uses only randomized device identifiers, we do not have an index connecting telemetry logs to real-world individuals. However, if you provide your anonymous installation UUID, we will gladly purge any associated telemetry logs from our database upon request.
